After the excitements of yesterday, today was a calmer day. Admin and reading and ordering some 2nd hand books for research. And a 5K run, done slowly slowly slowly. And a conversation with our brilliant dog walker who Tucker loves very hard indeed (so hard, he often wees on her leg. She is very patient) who swapped some intel about a long COVID hack she had read about. Gratefully received. And then a toad patrol meeting this evening. To talk about the up coming migration season. A moment to celebrate last year's wins and prepare for getting as many of these beautiful critters across the road safely again this year, when spring hits and they start to move. And actually that's all quite alot. But it felt calmer. Anyway, Lara Darling did some excellent posing today. She's enjoying doing balances on very small posts and divits at the moment. One of her favourite spots to sit on is the shelf-step, that Jane made for her (when Tucker moved in and it was no longer possible for her to have her food put out on the floor. Now she has a mini mezzanine all of her own). She often sits on this little shelf -step and pulls impossibly beautiful poses. She looked like an art installation, sitting alongside a Lizzie Combs photo, an AbbyDix Mason Collage and a Fabric Lenny drawing. So I drew her. And that's the news.
