Train Delay At Crossflatts
Sketch a day - Day 196/365
I had no idea what I was going to draw today or what to write about. I am in that flux of facing up to the rewrite, while also scuffling around with legitimate and genuine admin + let's face it procrastination.
I made some progress today but only enough to make me start panicking. This of course is the necessary juice. Panic seems to have to be in the mix to get anything meaningful done. This is ridiculous. I hear it's got something to do with ADHD but whatever the reason it's ludicrous and annoying.
Here we are.
Now on my way to town to see a writing squad writer before they go off on a 3 year writing adventure. A moment of real joy, so proud of them and also sadness. It's hard to do goodbyes.
Anyway, at the station, there was a cuffuffle and build up of folks as the trains were delayed (they are now running again, yay). I was annoyed until I remembered it was a great opportunity to sketch from life. I had to style out my shyness about drawing in front of people (the station is in reality a 2 platform affair. Noone was very far away from me). And in this way, the drawing for today arrived. As ever most of these are frustratingly not as right as I hoped. But a couple are pleasing to me / capture something of the person.
That's the news.
