Holiday - Llyn Elsi

Sketch a day - 189/365

We walked a much shorter route today, but it was much steeper than yesterday. By it's end we were just as knackered as as we were by yesterday’s long walk.

Tomorrow we are going to do very little.

Anyway, I may sound like I am complaining but I am not complaining. Being able to go on two long walks, one after another is a big deal for me. And I will never take this kind of freedom for granted ever again. I do still have to be careful (hense some enforced pootling tomorrow). Moderation is not my natural way, but I have had to embrace it. Steady and regular. At times it's very tedious. But here we are. It means I get to do magic things like walk around a lake near Betws-y-Coed (Llyn Elsi).

Which brings me to my sketch of Llyn Elsi. I did it in two stages today after I got back from the mega walk. I have been experimenting with India Ink on and off recently. I decided to put in a layer of water colour and then once that dried, I drew over it with india ink. And then I fiddled around with more watercolour which strictly means I did three stages.

I would write more but I have to come outside to get any mobile coverage and I am being eaten alive by midges.

That's enough and that's the news.
