Sketch a day - Day 304/365
Today has been about travelling to Manchester to lead a writing workshop, thinking about character.
I went into it feeling very tired. I think the busyness of the last few months is catching up with me. I suddenly feel quite bone deep tired. That said, there is nothing like a writing squad workshop to reenergise and revitalise. It was fun and exciting and great. I loved it. But of course I am now exhausted as I am making my way back home.
Anyway, I had a moment before the session started to sketch the view down the street from the Anthony Burgess centre. Manchester has so many dramatic buildings existing in relation to one another. And I am always mad for drawing cranes. So I couldn't resist this skyscraper and crane combo.
The sketch above is of some of the session attenders and Steve D, as people were getting their things together at the end of the day.
I loved today but I am now very much looking forward to getting home and getting snuggled next to the fire.
And that's the news.
