Rushed Job
Sketch a day - Day 49/365
That moment this evening where I think to myself, oh my god, I only left the house once today (to walk to the post box. Still old skool, still like sending real cards). Because work is nuts and I just can't seem to get a grip of the email hamster wheel. And somehow the day is over already and what what what can I draw?
Scissors I thought.
Here they are on my desk.
What can go wrong?
Just a quick sketch of some scissors and a notebook.
Oh yes.
Until I started drawing said damn hard to draw scissors. Who knew that scissors are really curvy and strange and don't actually look like you expect them to look?
Who knew this?
Not I dear reader.
So here we are. Some scissors that were really difficult to draw and which I bodged at with clumsy tired grumpy hands.
But the drawing is done. And I guess I am going to have to challenge myself to draw scissors more often to see if I can learn how to make sense of them.
And only now do I remember that scissors are frequently drawn by William Kentridge. So an unconscious mess homage.
And that's the news.
