Big Leaf
Sketch a Day - Day 40/365
We had a day off. A day of not checking the phone. A day of being together. We walked the dog (let's be honest our dog walks us), we went to see the#TypistArtistPirateKing film by #CarolMorley at #BradfordScienceandMediaMuseum. Such an inspiration to see a film that's chewy and moving and funny and daring and entirely entertaining and also uncomfortable. A film that was not formula. But was a genre movie. I will be thinking about this beautiful film for a long while. And then home again, home again, home for tea and sitting down and maybe a cocktail later.
A day like a mini holiday.
On our way from the carpark to the film we passed the big leaf. And it felt like we were having a mini moment of tourist sightseeing in our own city.
This sculpture is one of my favourites. It's by #AmberHiscott and is called #QuatrefoilforDelius. I didn't know any of that before today, when I looked shit up. For me it's just the beautiful big leaf. I like how it changes every time I see it.
And that's the news.
