Crossflatts

Sketch a day - Say 133/365

Pup walking through Crossflatts this morning and I was reminded again of how brilliant the trees are around here. And also I love the angular buildings and walkways.

Drawing wise - today was the opposite of yesterday.

I started with a don't let the pen off the page warm up and then did a sketch. I ended up liking the warm up way more than the sketch.

I don't seem to be getting on with colour at the moment.

I don't seem to be finding my flow.

Less is more more more.

If only that would ever stick in my brain when I am drawing.

Here we are.

Frustrated.

But I quite often get like this when I am writing a first draft of a play (which is what I have actually mainly been doing today). I get a bit grumpy and out of sync until suddenly everything clicks over and I get fully into a flow.

So maybe all this frustration with the drawing is just a sign of me being in a general pre flow grumping.

All shall become clear in the end.

That's the news
