I learnt a new term today. Double tap. An illegal tactic used in war where an attacker bombs a place, then waits, then bombs the same place again targetting the rescuers who turned up to help the injured from the first attack.

The IDF just perpetrated this act and it was live streamed to the world.

I mean, at this point is anyone surprised? No. I am not surprised. But it's a new low.

And still the world's leaders do nothing. Keir Starmer does nothing. The UK continues trading with Israel and arming Israel and wringing it's hands at Israel, while insisting that Israel really aught to stop this dreadful behaviour. If it wouldn't mind?

The appeasement of horror.

That is what the UK’s and the whole international community’s strategy is right now.

I was reading and thinking about all of this while sitting in my bedroom. , This level of dissonance that I feel. It's the new normal. How is it possible that our way of life is being destroyed piece by piece. By a so called ally? Because it IS our way of life. Every part of our peace is founded upon the international law that is being so brazenly ignored by Israel.

Gaza is us. What is happening to Palestinian’s is happening to us. Sooner or later. This same cruelty left unchecked will come at our door. Sure as a beautiful sunset leads to the darkness of night. And I am so sick of the indifference. And the slack jawed, lazy, look away cruelty. The indifference. The Israeli announcements that yet another ‘investigation’ will be launched. Like asking the kray twins to look into the latest gangland murder. Only the international community sits nodding. Yes. Ok. You do that Israel. You go and investigate another war crime committed by your own, yes. That sounds like a great plan. We await your findings with baited breath.
